When I discovered the world of shampoo bars while on social media this past winter, I was intrigued by the concept. You can remove all of the plastic bottles in your shower, and replace it with a single bar of soap! I wondered, is this really true? Will a shampoo bar work for my thick hair? As I started to search for companies who sell shampoo bars, I wanted to see if I could also support a local business. After calling several shops to no avail, I finally called Sea Hag Soaps. I was so happy to hear that they not only sold a wide variety of shampoo bars, but they were also located just a short distance away! Since I was still quite skeptical of the product, I bought just two bars - one for my mom to try along with me. I started using it right away. After a short adjustment period and some additional research, I learned to rinse my medium-fine, thick hair very well to avoid any residue buildup. After struggling with many years of dandruff, I was so impressed with how this shampoo made my hair feel. It moisturized and cleaned my hair all at once. I did not have to add any additional product to have beautiful, clean hair! I also discovered my normal oil production was reduced, meaning I did not have to wash my hair every day. My mom also had equally positive results. She told me after her next hair appointment the hair stylist remarked about how healthy her hair was! This is a great all-natural, eco-friendly alternative to shampoo!
